Welcome to Pack & Pitch
Kia ora! I’m Nigel, a Kiwi guy who grew up hiking and camping through New Zealand’s backcountry and now calls Australia home.
For as long as I can remember, the outdoors has been part of my life — from misty South Island trails to family weekends under the gum trees here in NSW. Over the years, my family and I have tested more tents, chairs, and sleeping bags than we can count. Some were great, others… not so much.
That’s why we started Pack & Pitch — to help everyday campers cut through the noise and find gear and campsites that actually deliver what they promise.
How It Started
After one too many “top-rated” tents that didn’t survive the rain and campgrounds that looked nothing like the photos, we realised there wasn’t a reliable, down-to-earth resource made for Aussie and Kiwi campers.
So we created one.
Pack & Pitch brings together honest gear reviews, authentic campsite listings, and practical how-to guides, all written and tested by real campers. No marketing fluff — just the stuff that actually works when you’re out in the elements.
