About This Campsite
Raglan Holiday Park sits on a peninsula in the Raglan Harbour, almost entirely surrounded by water and connected to the mainland by a single road bridge. This sheltered position creates a private, peaceful atmosphere while keeping you just a five-minute walk from Raglan’s town centre via a picturesque pedestrian bridge. The park offers over 300 sites for tents, campervans, and caravans, along with cabins, self-contained units, and motel accommodation, making it suitable for every type of traveller.
Facilities are well above average for a holiday park. The main amenities block includes fully equipped communal kitchens with stoves, microwaves, fridges, and freezers, plus clean shower blocks with excellent water pressure and temperature. Free electric BBQs are dotted throughout the grounds, and there’s even a communal herb and vegetable garden campers can pick from. A TV lounge with games room offers table tennis, pool, and foosball, while the children’s playground features a giant bouncy pillow and a playhouse with chalkboard walls. Laundry facilities are token-operated, and free Wi-Fi is available on all direct bookings. The park also has a fish cleaning station, boat ramp access, and a camp store.
Raglan is famous for its world-class surf breaks, with the legendary left-hand breaks at Manu Bay and Whale Bay about 6km from the park. The black sand beaches are ideal for swimming and walking, and the harbour offers excellent fishing and kayaking. Raglan’s relaxed town centre is packed with cafes, restaurants, and boutique shops. The park is roughly 45 minutes west of Hamilton, making it an easy weekend escape from the Waikato’s main city.
