Bristol Point Camping Area
About This Campsite
Bristol Point is the “tents-only” sanctuary of Jervis Bay, perfect for families who want to escape the generator hum and slamming doors of the caravan parks. However, there is a catch you need to prepare for: this is a strict walk-in campground. You cannot drive your car onto your site. You must park in the designated area and carry your gear up to 50 meters to your pitch. This rule acts as a brilliant filter—it keeps the site peaceful and strictly prohibits camper trailers, caravans, and roof-top tents. If you bring a trailer, you will be turned away. The payoff for your physical labor is massive, secluded sites nestled among the gums and banksias, many of which are large enough to accommodate three or four families camping together. Despite the “bush feel,” amenities are surprisingly luxe for a National Park, featuring hot showers, flushing toilets, and communal wood BBQs (wood is usually provided). You are a stone’s throw from Bristol Point Beach and the rocks at the end of the beach offer great snorkeling. Strictly no pets.
